USA
I would just first like to say that i don't like using Google drive, I think it gave my computer a virus. We had our group projects today. My group had the USA. I think we did i pretty good job. I got to change the slides. We listened to Ben speak in his Chinese accent. It was so funny, it made my day.

...
Mr. Schick wasn't in our first class. Thursday is our long class and he didn't show up. Until the end of the class. We watched the rest of Part 3 in the movie. We watched a slow motion car test car crash it was cool. But when he got to class our substitute, yelled at Austin for not having a working computer. He told Austin he would give him detention if he disturbed us while we were typing. So Austin put his head down. Then we talked about what US cars have to be able to do to be passed. If the car isn't safe enough it can't drive. Then, we learned that everything is a global company now. After that i answered a question and it got us talking about new cars and that Americans want it.

The Long Class
Every Thursday, we have a Human Geo class that is two mods long. It is over an hour long and some days we don't even get breaks. Yesterday Mr. Schick's sound wasn't working so the entire first mod of Human Geo, we talked about the notes we took and I did research on Twinkies. Hostess is going out of business and we were having a class discussion on if Twinkies can last for a long time and if so how long can they last. I found a website on it but it's only a myth.

New Movie
The last test we took I got an 90% on it. It was on world leaders and where places were located. I got the bell ring. Then we started a new movie. It's about China and money. How the America jobs are being taken away and given to people that can do them faster and with less pay. Did you know that in China some woman work for around 1-2 dollars a day. Men work for 3-4 dollars a day, that comes out to about 600 dollars a year. How does someone live on only 600 dollars a year. I probably spend 600 dollars a year and I don't even work. Even when I babysit I make more money than that.

Political Geography
Afghanistan was founded in 1747 by Abmad Shah Durrani when he unifed the Pashtun tribes. They were between Russian and British Empires. They were parts of Empires but never part of some else country.
Brazil was founded in 1822. It had been under the rule of Portugal before they gained there independence.
France is in the European nations. July 1914 they declared there independence. From what I found it always has been. It is a part of NATO. Basically they weren't colones it just matter who the King was at the time.
Germany has never been under one certain rule. Germany has the largest economy is in Europe. Germany has the second largest populous nation. It is under European power since it was founded, it is also a part of NATO. After world war to it was split into to countries.
India was founded around 1500BC, by Dravidian. They were never apart of the Maurya empire, but they did feed off of them, for culture ideas.
Iran was known as Persia until 1935, it became a republic in 1979.
Mexico was taken over by Spain. Spain populated it. Mexico got it's own independence in the 19th century.
Saudi Arabia was founded in 1932 by ABD al-AZIZ BIN ABD AL-Raham Al Saud. Before it had it's own independence it was part of Islam. Kingdom where the king can have many wives and many children.
United Kingdom is a leading role of democracy. It is a member of NATO. It doesn't need to have it's own Independence it rules many other places. Whales, Scotland, Norther Ireland and Great Britain.
Venezuela was founded in 1830. It was once part of Gran Colombia. It was ruled by the militarily. Hugo Chavez is there president now.

85%
It Alice and Wills birthdays today. I like them both they are lots of fun. I have known Will since the beginning of the year but I have known Alice for like ever. The first play I ever did Alice was in it with me. Then the second play I did she was my mother. That was so much fun. We also went to the same school but we never really talked. We also got our tests back, I got an 85%. That's not as bad as I thought I was going to do but next time im going to hopefully get an A

The future up class men and you don't know any of them you just have to follow one around all day. We talked about what we did our blogs on yesterday and the day before. We had a long class today. It was a usual Thursday boring and long, wanting Friday to be here now.

White
Today was class color day and I
beginning the freshman that I am had to wear white. It was fun today, a lot of fun actually. I
shadowed last year on class color day but last year they allowed tagging. Kids still did it this year but not to the
extreme that they did last year. I remember
one kid got duct tape to a wall. I didn’t
know at the time but that kid is actually one of my best friends now, oh the
irony. Well Mr. Schick wasn’t in class
today, so we had to go to room 321 and our sub was late. So I called the office. Then we had to actually write on paper. I can’t remember the last time we were asked
to write something on real paper, with pen or pencil. The funny thing is no one has paper but I had
my folder so I just wound up giving like everyone a piece of loose leaf because
no one brings it with them. I got
everything done with no problem and when I finished I got all my pens back that
let people borrow and then I went to gym.

Stink Bugs
Did you know that that stink bugs get there name from the
odor that they release when they feel that they are in danger. Stink bugs can be green, gray, or brown. When you find a green stink bug it will most
likely be a female, the females are more commonly green. One more thing about stink bugs is they can
bite. Some people can have reactions to
the bite and they can break out in rashes that itch. If you are wondering why I just listed a few
stink bug facts it is because we talked about stink bugs today in Human
Geo. I have no idea how it came up but
we spent about fifteen minutes of class talking about stink bugs and telling
stories about them. I didn’t get to
share my story but it was really was that I watched a spider eat a stink bug
the other day it was gross and I tried to save the stink bug but it was already
dead. The rest of the class we had a long talk about religions.

Blogging on a Blog
I would like to talk about what we
did in Human Geo today. At first we
started class with our prayer, but then we started talking notes on Mr. Schick’s
Power Point. I don’t like the power
points they are boring and human geo is my favorite class. Any way we were just taking notes most class
and then I was looking at my blog. Then
we went to Lexis’s blog and were reading her latest blog post. She has fish on her blog, they are really cool. So then I went on my blog and got fish. For
the rest of the class we pretty much just took notes and read different
classmates blog post. I feel like I’m only talking about blogging. It is kind of like I’m blogging on a
blog. Even though that sounds weird that
is what I’m going to call it and you can judge all you want but I like it.

World Religions
Christianity was started about 2000
years ago; it was founded by Jesus and his disciples. Christianity is
a monotheistic religion. Christians have a bible, it is where
the keep all of the stories and gospels. There are over 2 billion Christians
in the world. Jesus Christ the son of God is the main figure in
Christianity. There are over 200 countries in the world that have
Christians living there.
Islam was started
by Muhammad in the early 600s. It is a monotheistic religion
they believe in one true God. The Islam’s call their
bible Qumran. 1.8 billion People in the world are Islamic. Muhammad
is the main person in the Islamic religion. There are more Islamic people
in the UK than anywhere else in the world.
Buddhism was started in Northern
India by Siddhartha, around 563 BC. Buddhism is neither a monotheistic
nor polytheistic. They don't believe that you should
follow something just because it is written down on paper. Buddhism has
about 376 million followers and it is the fourth largest religion. Buddha
is the main God of Buddhism.
Hinduism was founded by two
different cultures, Aryans and Indus, in 1500 BC. Hinduism is
a polytheistic religion. Their holy book is the Vedas.
Hinduism is the third largest religion in the world. Hinduism
is most popular in India.
Judaism
was started in 1st century BC, it was started by Moses. Judaism
is a monotheistic religion. There holy book is called the Torah.
Judaism is followed by around 14.5 million people. Judaism is most
commonly found in what they call the holy land, Jerusalem.

Double Mod
Oh Thursdays in human geo we always
have a double mod. It is a very long class and usual class nothing exciting
really happened. We did look at a chart
that showed what different counties call soda.
Where I live we call it, others call it pop, and some people call it
coke. Then we had to take real notes on
a power point that Mr. Schick made. It
was about languages and religions. We
were talking about people that speak different languages and how some people
are annoyed by their accents and when signs are written in a different language. The problem with that is what if you didn’t like
translations and then you went to a different country or somewhere people spoke
a different language than you. Then the
tables would be turned because you wouldn’t be able to understand anything either.
Then, we stretched and talked for a few minutes. When we started talking again we got really
off topic though and started talking about prank phone calls.

Google Drive
We
gave pretensions on Native Americas, Vikings, and Columbus today. My group went first and I read the title page
because I didn’t have a question to answer.
Since there were nine people and our group and only eight questions, I didn’t
have a question. I was happy that I didn’t
have a question because I couldn’t get on the shared project. It was annoying. It wasn’t anyone’s fault too it was google
drive. But it could have been fixed but
because Madisen didn’t check her stupid email, she never connected to the
server and I couldn’t get the document.
I like using google drive, because it is fun and you can do your
projects from home. I don’t like how
sometimes you can’t get into it. Plus,
when you want to put a picture in it you have to save the picture and let the
file load. Well anyway todays class was
fun, and i cant wait till tomorrow
because it’s Thursday.

Native Americans
Human geo was boring today. We really didn’t do much, but we got a new
classmate. He is 6’11 his name is
Michael. Michael is also in my gym class. He is quiet in gym but he is really good at
basketball. I played against him and I couldn’t
even touch the ball. We talked about Columbus and how he founded
America. His finding America was an accident and he was looking for Spain. But when he found America there were already
people there. Native Americas lived
there. They were called Indians. They fought with Columbus and his men for a
long time, and before winter they all became friends. The Native Americas taught Columbus and his
men how to plant and grow food. Then
they had Thanksgiving and everyone eat a great amount of food. My group is Native America’s that is why I am
talking about them in my blog. I am
black foot Indian, on my mom and my dad side of the family. We were the mean Indians back then. A Black foots were always killing people
taking their animals and ruining villages.

Lost Boy's test
We
took a test on the movie we had been watching in human geo class. It was fill in the blank, 20 questions, no
word bank. I didn’t find it that hard
but I’m pretty sure I spelled a bunch of words wrong. Each question was worth 5 points and the test
was 100 points. After the test we had
Carly’s shadow read the test with the correct answers. She read the paper very well and she didn’t seem
scared. I would have be terrified if on
my shadow day I was asked to get up in the middle of a random class with people
I had never meet before and start reading a paper about something I had no idea
about. Then somehow we started talking
about vouchers, then peacocks. Then I told
a story about how my dog followed a few turkeys and then got chased by them. Then I had to go to the bathroom but I thought
the bell was going to ring. I decided just to go when I went to computer
support but then I realized there was still 15 minutes left in class so I went.

Diploma
Today we had another shadow. Her name was Delany Link. Her mother was my Test Prep teacher at St. Margaret’s
School, were I went to middle school.
After, teasing Delany for a few minutes Mr. Schick and the class all
said prayer. I like the prayer we say it
is quick and fun. Even Delany said the prayer; she probably learned it at St.
Margaret’s School. Mr.
Schick then talked about when he graduated high school. We are going to make him a diploma because he
never got one. Not when he graduated
from high school or from college. We started
talking about what to do about the fund raising for Sudan. John Dau wanted 6,000-10,000 dollars to come
to John Carroll and talk to us. I think
we should raise as much money as we can and if it isn’t enough we could always just
Skype John Dau. I think we should make
the gel bracelets and have people pay 5 dollars to be out of uniform if they
wore the bracelet. If that didn’t work
we could always have the freshman class come in wearing colors of the Sudan
flag.

Sammy
Today we talked about what we are
going to do for to help Sudan. We had to
go online and try to find a foundation or website that wasn’t already on the
igoogle group page. My group found two
websites. Taylor, Maria, Austin, and I were
a group. Mr. Schick was talking about a fundraiser
that the class did last year. His class
raised money and sent a give one get one program. For only $200 for a computer to be sent to
children in need. Not only did the
children in need a computer, but so does the person that raises or gives in the
money. Mr. Schick told us he could
probably find the laptop. When he came
back into the room with a little green laptop I almost died. It was the cutest thing I have ever
seen. We decided to name it Sammy and it
is our class pet. We plugged Sammy in
but he was out of battery so we are going to see if we can play with him
tomorrow. I can’t wait till next class I
really hope that we can get it working.

Fund Raising
We finished the movie today in
Human Geo. The end had both good and bad
parts in it, mostly happy new though. I
might as well say the bad news first; Panther has yet to be reunited with his
family. This means that they are either
stuck in a camp or that they are dead. I just hope they are not dead. Another one other the boys met his
mother. He paid for her to come to
America. I found the scene with his
mother weird and sweet at the same time.
After the movie was over we talked about ways to help the men in the
camps. Maybe we could raise money for
the schools in Sudan. Then we could have
the three men come to John Carroll and give them one of those huge checks with
the money we have raised on it. Ways to
raise money, we could do an out of uniform day.
We could have a snowball day too, were we make snowballs and sell
them. These are just some ideas though I
really think that we should raise money though

Where's Mr. Schick
When I got into class on Friday I put
my books down and sat on my desk. I
started talking to Maria and Michael while I was waiting for the bell to ring. After the bell rang I sat down in my
seat. Mr. Schick wasn’t in the class
room though so I stood up and walked over to the door. I looked out the door and didn’t see anyone
but, my friend Molly. She was packing up
her book bag and getting ready to leave for her soccer game. When I walked back into the class room I said
maybe we should call the office. I picked up the phone and went to dial but
then I let Parker talk because she said she had great people skills. So Parker called the office and we found out
that Mr. Schick was on a flied trip that was just getting back when we called
the office. Then Mr. V walked into the room and started talking to us. After
Mr. Schick got back we put the movie in and started talking notes again.

Movie
Today
we watched the same movie that we have been watching about Sudan. I like this movie, I find it very interesting. I also like the music in the beginning after
Mr. Schick made us quiet down and listen to it, I thought it would cool if we
played that music at school in the hall ways. I couldn’t image what it would be
like if I never had electricity and then I just moved to America. I just
can’t even what life would be like if we didn’t have electricity. I
probably wouldn’t adjust well. I guess
it would be scary, not knowing a lot about where you are going and then just
being thrown into a world and have to go with it. I’m pretty sure it would be amazing
though. I like the part in the movie
when they go to the grocery store for the first time. I also thought that it was funny when the boy
ate the butter. Plus when they learned
what a light switch was. I thought it
was funny when they didn’t know what a trash can look like or how it worked. I can’t wait to watch more of it in class
tomorrow.

Shadow
We had a shadow from St. Margaret
School, her name was Taylor. I met her
earlier today in English class. She
seemed quiet but really nice. We went
over the tests we took the other day. WE
got pretty loud though. Mr. Schick got
mad and left the room. I get why he did
it we were out of control. When he came
back we put away our tests and took out our copy books. On Monday we had
started taking notes on a movie about Sudan.
Today we continued the notes. The
problem is my notes from the other day ripped and now the page is all messed up
and it’s really annoying. Plus were I sit
Taylors head blocks the dialogue on the screen so I have to lean back to read
what the people are saying. The movie
seems interesting though, I would probably like it if I could see what was
going on. I guess I didn’t notice it on
Monday because Taylor left early. Well that’s
really everything that happened today in class.
I don’t have anything else to say so I guess I’ll go do my other
homework.

The Test
We took our first test in Human Geo
today. I personally think it wasn’t that
hard. At least I didn’t find it to be
that hard, maybe I just got all of them wrong and that’s why I thought it was
so easy. I guess I’ll find out when you
post the grade. I’m almost positive
that I got the bonus question right though. After the test we started to watch a video
about the Sudan civil war. We had to
take notes on the video. I love watching
videos in class, but I don’t like it when I have to take notes on them. I was really tired today. For some reason I didn’t feel good all
day. I never ate breakfast or lunch and
human geo in human geo I just got grumpy.
I was tired and hungry and still right now at almost 6:30 at night I’m
still hungry. I don’t know why I haven’t
eaten yet I’m just too lazy I think.
Well I would love to stay and chat but dinner it ready so I’m going to
stuff my face full of food.

Presentations
My groups topic was India.
Last night we had to go home and research India. My group was Lexie,
Madisen, and Melisa. I had known Melisa
from gym and Madisen and i had gone to middle school together. We are really
good friends. But yesterday was my first
day meeting Lexie. Well after working
last night on the project about India today in class we got to present. Well three groups went ahead of us and we
listened to their presentations. There
was a lot of good information in the presentations that the other groups
did. About half way through the second
presentation I went to look at my groups work on India. Everyone did a great job and i loved all of
the bright colors that they used. I also
like the fonts that we used and we have fun facts about India too! After looking over our presentation I wore Savannas
glasses. Then I realized I don’t wear
glasses and I took them off. We didn’t
get to finish our presentation but I did take my shoes off while we were
presenting, I hate shoes!

Um i can't think of a title
In human geo
today we went over the homework we did last night. We answered questions out loud with the rest
of the class. We heard stories about other countries. Mr. Schick told us scary stories about
bombs. I learned something that I could
have gone my whole life without knowing.
If a nuclear bomb was dropped on Washington we would all die. I’m a little scared to live in Bel Air now so
if I’m not in class tomorrow I have probably moved to the Bahamas. We also talked about places that we have been
out of the country. One kid in our class
has been to Australia. I think that is
like the coolest thing ever. I want to
go to Australia. I also want to go to Paris;
I think it would be so much fun to go there.
After talking about where we have been we went on checking our homework
and talking about other things that I can’t remember about right this
second. My stomach hurt all class today;
I think I had eaten way too much at lunch.

Taking Notes on taking notes
In human Geo today we learned how to take notes. In fact we took notes on taking notes. We also took notes on Illinois. We learned that Illinois is one of the most populated states in the Midwest. Illinois has many plans and corn fields. Then we learned that Mr. Schick is Jesus. He told us about when he was born. He said it was cold day and they couldn’t find a hospital. Michael kicked my chair all class and it was funny because last year I would kick his. Austin was annoying but then again when isn’t he. I sat in the class with my shoes off. I just feel so laid back in his class. I also hate shoes, if I don’t have to wear them I don’t. I noticed that I lot of other people sit in class without shoes. I don’t know what it is but they are so annoying

Rescearch Rules
Research rules
In
human geo today we learned how to post websites to our blogs. We also took many notes on about how to post
things on my blog. I also changed the
color of my background but then changed it back. After
that we talked about research papers.
When doing research papers we always have to site where we found our
information. We were told that most
teachers don’t let us use wiki. We’re
allowed it use it in human geo though.
As long as it is not our main place of information we can still use it as
a secondary site. Austin was being
annoying all class. Taylor and I kept
laughing at all of Mr. Schick’s jokes. I
liked the idea of the website Mr. Schick was talking about. Making a website that is totally fake just to
get people in trouble sounds like a lot of fun.

Essay's
Essay #1
ArĂȘte
is someone that has a great character and is all around a good person. Socrates was very honest. He stood up for his beliefs and never backed
down. Even at his trial for death he
still stayed strong and fought for honor.
Greeks and people many years ago where all very polite and tried very
hard for a good reputation and to have a good family name. Not all people were as heroic and confident
as Socrates but the most of they tried to be the best they could be.
Essay #2
I personally think that my generation will
eventually ruin the earth. Don’t get me
wrong I love the world I live in but if people like Elbert Hubbard and Socrates
saw the youth now I don’t think they would be very happy. There is no chivalry or pride in what youth
is today I think if mean and women were more like Elbert and Socrates we would
have a better world. If Mr. Hubbard saw
how many people slack off now I think his story would be much longer. If Socrates was here he would be so angry at how
many people don’t stand up for what they believe in like he did. Now I’m not saying that I’m perfect and never
slack off but if people now a days didn’t slack off as much I think Elbert
would be a happier man. I would be
ashamed of today’s youth if Socrates saw it I can’t even imagine how angry he
would be and the things he would say.
Essay #3
I will
grow a lot in the next few years and having a plan is always the best way to approach
the future. Sept one, thing I will do is get acclimated with the school. Step two, I will study hard and try to turn
all of my assignments in on time or early.
Step three, I will get into the plays and try out for sports and actives
that I have never tried before. Step
four, make many new friends that I will be able to have fun with and have
forever. Step five, Graduate and get into
a good college and just be very happy.

Frist Friday
Human Geo was my last class of the
day and all day I was looking forward to it.
Not just because it was the last thing before my free mod but because it’s
just a fun class. Today we talked about
a philosopher back in B.C times, his name was Socrates. He was a very smart man but he wasn’t smart enough
to get out of his trail for death. All he had to do was to apologize but he
didn’t. So then he had to drink this
poison that paralyzed him and then killed him.
I thought that is kind of bad way to die. Even though he was going out in a heroic way I
still would have just said I’m sorry and will never do anything like that ever again.
I guess if I really believe in something
I would stand up for it though so it really probably depends on what it is. If I was on trial for loving cupcakes I probably
would have let them take my life as long as I could die by eating a poisoned
cupcake.

Today in Geo
Today I had human geo 2nd and 3rd mod,
we actually started learning things today.
Which wasn’t as fun as talking to friend but for a human geo class it
was a lot of fun. We read a paper
written by a man named Elbert. I
personally thought that what we read was definitely making a good point. People do complain and slack off so
much. The problem is so many people get
away with slacking off that they just keep on doing it. I find it annoying when people don’t do their
work. We also got donuts, but some people didn’t take one. That kind of surprised me because I was
starving and when I saw the donuts I was like FOOD!!! I also got to talk to the people next to me
about quidditch. We all might join the
team this coming season. I think it
would be a lot of fun to be on the quidditch team I always thought that game
looked like fun when I watched the movie Harry Potter.

Day 2 of Human Geo
So Human Geo is my favorite class so far. Today in class we got all of our blogs
working. Mine was already set up, so I got
to talk to the people next to me next to me.
I talked to Maria, I knew Maria from basketball she was on my team for
about 3 years. She was also on my soccer
team. I also talked to Savanna I have
talk to her before but I realized that she is really nice and funny. I talked to Taylor she sits across. She was also very nice and she was loud
too. The boy that sits next to me was
nice but he was quiet and kind of shy. Over
all today was a great day in human Geo.
Even though soon we will begin actually learning things and studying. The class will hopefully stay my favorite as
the year goes on.
In the time of ancient Geek the word idiot was used to

The beginning
Today was the first real day of Human Geo we learned about
what we will be doing this year. We read the rules and learned about the
class. I like how we will be writing
notes instead of tying things because I remember things when I write them. We got
new seats and I sit in a pretty good spot.
I sit behind an old friend from softball Maria. I think this class will be fun. Mr. Schick miss spelled my name, it made me
very mad. Just kidding Mr. Schick I suck
at names it is a miracle that I can remember my own. We have a pretty big class. I know most of the people I it so that’s good. I liked the energy in the classroom it kind
of takes some of the stress away. Today the
class was fun I just hope it stays that way.

freaked out freshman
When I woke up
this morning, the first thing I did was look at my watch. When I saw it was
almost 7:00, I started to freak out. I
did my hair very nicely and put on little bit of makeup (which is unusual for
me because my hair is usually in a bun and I never wear makeup). I was nervous
when I walked in, but instead of a small hello I received the biggest hug from
Mrs. B and then I felt at home. Then, I felt much better to see all of my
friends in the cafeteria and meet new people.
I found it pretty cool that we got to go to our classes for a few
minutes and see everyone. As the day
started to end and I watched my friends and I start to walk apart and talk to
new people, I realized in the next four years at this school everything is
going to change. I will grow mentally and physically. I will make new friends and my friends will
make new friends. So far I am ready for
John Carroll I just hope JC is ready for me!
